Now with the technology transfer from Central Scientific Research Institute (CSIR) – National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology (NIIST), Trivandrum, Kerala, have ventured into manufacturing fully automated plants for biodegradable tableware and cutlery from various agro-waste such as Rice Husk, Wheat Husk, Arecanut Husk, Coconut Husk, Pineapple Leaf, Peanut Shell, etc.

Why Our Products are Important

World has seen enough of destruction to environment as man explores ways to make thing life easier for him/her. Plastic is one product which has been extensively used for all components due to its very nature of versatility. While it has advantage, it also has an disadvantage as it does not degrade that easily. The carelessly dumped plastic components can cause phenomenon changes to the environment.

Thankfully, the world has awaken now, and looking for plastic alternatives for daily usage articles. Biodegradable tableware/cutlery is an alternative to the plastic disposable tableware/cutlery. Its eco-friendly and sustainable nature has made it an obvious choice of many who are passionate about keep this environment clean and green.

These biodegradable tableware are made of natural materials that will easily compost on disposal and hence has minimal effect on the environment. The process do not use any harmful chemicals and the final product is hence chemical free. The Biodegradable materials for the tableware are generally sourced from local farmers giving them an additional income. The carbon foot print is reduced due to local sourcing.
